The Simonton family recognized the need for high quality products like aluminum windows and doors. Years ahead of their time, early windows like an innovative triple-track storm window, the Thermo Boss and the Energy Capp were embraced by the market.
A New Direction
By the early 1980’s, the Simonton family recognized that vinyl was superior to aluminum for windows and doors, and the company headed in a new direction. Top quality vinyl windows and doors, along with unbeatable delivery times and great customer service was apparently something America was ready for. Sales skyrocketed, and Simonton’s quality and small-town values spread from coast to coast.
A New Age of Old-fashioned Values
Today, legendary Simonton quality continues to be recognized throughout the industry and is evident in the numerous industry awards Simonton receives. In 2006, Simonton proudly joined the ranks of other leading home and hardware products that are synonymous with quality when it was acquired by Fortune Brands, Inc. Simonton has manufacturing facilities in Pennsboro, Harrisville and Ellenboro, West Virginia, Paris, Illinois and Vacaville, California. Simonton now offers many distinct lines of vinyl retrofit and new construction windows and doors, including ENERGY STAR® compliant products, and even a full line of impact-resistant windows and doors designed for coastal applications. Today, along with prestigious companies like Moen, Therma-Tru and MasterBrand Cabinetry, Simonton Windows is part of the Fortune Brands Home & Security business.
